What do i want ?

Transcending from 10th to 11th; from junior high school to senior high school; leaping from school to college; graduation to post graduation, each of this marks the transitional phase of our life where the dilemmatic situation caused by tremendous yet restricted options, narrowed down by society's eyes and labels , entraps us from within. Deciding 'what one really  wants'.Though, some are not blessed with this privilege of opting for self . But, those who are blessed with this overemphasized yet mostly pushed power of making the decision, not always have a similar view.

The time when one encounter that statement "Do what you feel like", everything seems to blur, heart pounds, mind keeps on wandering; jumping from one option to another; thinking about words and their deeply profound meanings; concepts like PASSION, DESIRE, DREAM.

However the confusion does not resolve so easily for everyone. Those who really make through the decisive process with the condition of their decision confiding with that of 'other important people' are hailed with applauses, for rest; its not so rosy. "World can't understand them", whines the heart of the confused beings. Perhaps, it's even true, because no one else could possibly imagine how someone could just not know what they want in life. "Just how and why can't they?", question many.
The people around deem the decision to be so simple; they might even think that the person is a fool, a big kind of loser; to not know the desires.
But, is it so? Does the confusion persists due to the unconscious of desires or is it something else? Let's try to unravel the reasoning of the other side, the one in which i sailed; not that long ago.

1. FROM NO DECISION-MAKING POWER TO BIGGEST DECISION-MAKING STEP:
"Gappu, you would wear this today.""Rani, you will opt for Science." "Maths is more important than novels, you would ruin your life in such a way, we know exactly what is right for you."
These sentences are not just words, they apprise the narrative of a typical Indian household. Since the birth of the child; even before that, parents concoct the life of their beloved young ones. Every single decision is governed or completely executed by them until, suddenly they decide to give you the privilege of opting for what you really want. Or probably just want you to pretend to decide what's already been decided. In such situations, knowing what you dreamt for can be tricky, after all you might have not just dreamt to fullest yet, out of fear; curtailment or what; 'the one' knows better.
After so many years of training of following the stated , deciding on your own, without an aid could be exacting as its new  and hence making a decision becomes cumbersome.
However, not every house says the same story and hence for those supporting cool parents' wards, like me, comes the second reason - fear of fallout.

2. FEARING FALLOUT :
Doing something for self, can be scary because if you fail, there's no one to put blame on, but you. "Who shall be responsible if it goes wrong?"; fearing the consequences for what you decided for self could be hence gritty because this time the finger could not be pointed on anyone else. But, why fear so much? What's there to dread? Everything has some consequences; good or bad; they all teaches us, makes us learn something that will hold significance in life. Some repercussions might be terrible, but not more than the toiling caused ;within the mind and soul; by the notion of not trying it once, not giving it a shot.  Isn't the risk better than living in the doubtful pool of questions; "What if, i could do it? What if, i succeeded?" Yes, you might fail, anyone could, though an attempt is necessary to find that. After all its always 50% chance for both the success and the failure, whichever be the situation. Why to give exclusive weight-age to one; so what if they say success rate for entrepreneurship or modeling or any other occupation is just 1%; who could ever guarantee that you would not be in that 1% and would be in the rest 99%. So, take risks, do as you desire , dream, take decisions. Even if one failed, it would have taught you the 'ways it won't work to succeed'.
Thomas Edison said,
"“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work” ; “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.”

3. OR WAIT? YOU'RE JUST TEN :P
Just dream and enjoy, golden period of childhood still exists for you.

Who stops us from triumphing?

Do you know who our greatest enemy is? The one who stops us from gaining the success. Wouldn't you like to meet that person?

Killing the cause would make the life so much better, " all sorted" at once. Yes, 'kill'; that's what I meant; a cold- blooded murder like depicted in the prints of epic thrillers. After all, a murder under self-defense is not a crime or that's what my minute understanding regarding law informs me.

So bring it on and lets find who really stops us from gaining the full potential. Being "self-actualised" ; as would have Maslow said.

So I would first give some hints about the culprit. (You are smart enough unlike me and perhaps already know the answer.)
1. That person scares you. Tells you that you can't achieve your dreams or worse; "stop dreaming".
2. You are always a loser for him/her. (Respecting both the genders :P)

Umm! Relatives can be an option. Isn't it? Or you are sure that's the answer. Let's go through more hints.

3. The person holds you from taking any action.
4. And also the devious is responsible for the humanly procrastination.

Wait, do my relatives control weather I procrastinate or chose to be proactive? I doubt that. Then who does?
After thinking for a long while one might realise that the menace is self. The self doubt.

Imagine if you would have lucid thoughts about self then who would have been more stronger than you in your life to decide what you are capable for and what not?

Believing in self. Being confident to  trust that if you try something with your heart and soul then you could be unstoppable.

Idea of failure could perturb you or me or anyone who is at least an earthling. But remember inactions are the biggest regrets of life and not wrong actions.

As Michael Jordan said;
"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying."

So why should anyone? Keep trying.
But, first kill thr monster; your enemy; I.e. yourself; self doubts.
